Maverick is two years old and is incredibly smart and athletic.  He LOVES to retrieve and would love to be someone's best friend.

Maverick knows basic obedience, has been collar conditioned, force fetched, and is a really good marker.  He ran in his first hunt test a couple of weeks ago and easily received his first two HRC started passes. This guy could go really far with the right handler.

Maverick did pass the following clearances: elbows, eyes, and advanced cardiac. He is also genetically clear.  Unfortunately, he did not pass his hip evaluation through OFA.  While he is such a great boy, this did end his prospects of becoming our next stud and Maverick has been neutered.

Maverick is crate trained, loves car rides, and is potty trained.  He LOVES people and other dogs.  He is one of my dogs that I can put out with my older puppies as he just loves playing with them.  Maverick is pretty high energy and needs a home that will give him lots of good exercise and structure.  Maverick would do best in a home without cats.  He loves our kids and does great with them, though would probably do best in a home with kids that weren't toddlers as he would probably knock them down on accident trying to love on them.

Maverick is a typical male golden retriever that is just wanting to bond with his person.  I think he would be an awesome dog for someone looking for their "adventure dog".  He will turn into your best friend quickly.
