Penny is from our September 2025 SkyeXPoncho litter. We were so excited to keep a puppy back from this litter and it turned out so nice we kept two (Penny and her sister Ginger).
Penny is about 8 months old and is such a fun girl. She loves to retrieve and has retrieved on land and water. She has also retrieved ducks from our freezer. She LOVES to swim and would be such a fun sport prospect. I'm so bummed that I'm not going to be able to train and compete with her!
Penny loves other dogs and people. I call her mom my party girl as Skye lives her life like she's always having the time of her life no matter what she's doing! Penny reminds me a lot of her mom in this aspect. She hasn't traveled too much, but when she has she has handled it well and was eager to meet other people and dogs. Penny is crate trained and is working on manners in the house (she just gets excited, but does settle down).
Penny comes from fully health tested parents which means they have their hips, elbows, eyes, and heart clearances through OFA and have genetic panels completed. I did genetic testing on this litter when they were only a week old which is how we know Penny is ICH clear.
I don't place pups together with siblings or other dogs about the same age due to the possibility of "littermate syndrome". Because of this, I'm not interested in placing Penny and her sister Ginger in the same home (or with other dogs around the same age). She would likely do well in a home with other dogs over the age of 1.
Penny is available to a pet home for $2000. I would possibly consider placing her in another program, if the perfect situation came along for her. I will only consider placing her in a program that fully health tests (hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and genetic panes) their dogs and runs their dogs in some type of dog sports.
